How the band is calculated

  1. You answer the questions — one attempt, as in the exam.
  2. After checking, the page shows an estimated band using the usual Academic Reading table and goes through the mistakes: where in the text the answer was.
  3. The band is approximate: in the real exam the scale shifts slightly from paper to paper.
